I wanted to move away from all my plastic storage containers for the freezer mainly. I make homemade soups for my mother, and these are perfect for her to keep in the freezer. I like the glass base, and the plastic lid is sturdy and easily snapped securely in place. I have not tried the options of bake and reheat yet. Freezer safe, microwave safe and dishwasher safe. Plus, the containers I have for my own use is perfect for seeing what is stored in them in the refrigerator with leftovers or anything else.
