    Halves separate

    When filling the ice ball tray the pressure on the upper half slightly separates the two halves, therefore creating a ice ring (like Saturn) after freezing making it difficult to use unless you break off the ice ring. The two halves must be held tightly together during the freezing process. Any suggestions?

    Hi Joe!


    Thank you so much for reaching out. Our photographer uses all of our ice trays regularly in photoshoots and has dealt with this a few times too! Her strange but effective tip - securing a rubber band around the center of the ice tray to keep it in place prior to filling with water... not too tight, but enough to keep the top half flush with the bottom half. Then fill + freeze as usual!


    There may still be a little water overflow that freezes, as is typical with most ice trays on the market... however, those small ice "chips" should be significantly easier to break off than the thick ice ring you experienced.
